What motivates (or doesn't) your partner ref preparations?

What changes can we make to our lives to deal with the economic and energy crises ahead? Have you already started making preparations? Got tips to share?

Aparently the first working day after new year is the busiest for divorce lawyers, sucks.

Depressingly, the ex has agreed a settlement on the house which is actually less than she is legally entitled to, in the name of fairness.

I suppose I should be delighted, but now I KNOW I've lost a good one . . . guess irony can be pretty ironic sometimes, lol.

On the bright side, my electricity consumption has dropped markedly and my living room is no longer constantly full of cigarette smoke.

And I had forgotten how much I enjoy peace and quiet. Just me, the cat and the fire. Wonderful!

I do believe that life refuses to let one get too comfortable in one's situation. Not good for survival readiness.
