What changes can we make to our lives to deal with the economic and energy crises ahead? Have you already started making preparations? Got tips to share?

It's not you know. I've looked it up. It's after recycle.

Recycle maybe. But recylce is in a different dictionary.

Where? I Googled "Recyle Reduce", and almost everything it found put reduce first!

The logical progression is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Reduce because is lowers the amount of stuff going into the system in the first place and that lowers the amount of energy used overall.

Reuse because that saves the energy put into manufacturing and recycling.

Recycle because that stops materials left, after the two above have been implemented, being wasted in landfill.

EDIT Reuse doesn't include incineration for power production.

Edited again for punctuation.

But recycling is something sexy that people can show off about, and compete with their mates. "I recycled more than you, so I'm greener". Reducing will destroy the economy, as we need growth. Reuse is something poor people used to do in the olden days.

I completely agree with Ken :D.
