Gas supply failure.

Post by adam2 »

Hundreds of customers are without natural gas due to water entering the gas mains.

This shows the importance of off grid heating and cooking facilities. Do not count on electricity as an alternative, I consider local power cuts to be probable. Remember that the DNOs typically assume an average load of about 5 amps per home, if gas is available. This very low figure has a good record in practice. Until the gas supply fails and everyone uses multiple electric heaters.

I expect some blown substation fuses.
