small gap underfloor insulation?

Post by JonB »

HI,

have spent 2 days under the floorboards and now have 200mm fibreglass insulation slung under the boards with airbricks nice and clear.

BUT I have a gap between final joist in 1 part and wall about 2 inches. If I just stuff it with insulation, very difficult to reach, it may well drop over the years. This is also DPC brick line.

Shall I leave it and accept the small gap?
Can I fill it safely with expanding foam ( about the only thing I can think of I can put in - its at full stretch laid on my back to reach it)
Any other ideas?

Thanks

Could you spray some aerosol contact adhesive on the joist and wall, then put the insulation in place?
