What changes can we make to our lives to deal with the economic and energy crises ahead? Have you already started making preparations? Got tips to share?

We've got a few compost loos. This is my favourite with an attached shower (Have to improve the system!) and not too far from the house.

There's also a bath but that's just being silly, so it's used for keeping stuff in.

This is the one next to the cabin where we used to live, which also has a shower with almost unlimited hot water between 3.30pm and about 8pm in the summer. :D

Of course it'll be unlimited..... it's a shower in France!!! ... is it still possible to hide your money under the soap so the Frenchies don't find it????

Great pics btw... and just wish I could do something similar here.

Gates is putting most NGOs to shame. Much I am not of fan of some of his software, his approach to aid is spot on. And of course, HMG won't be spending anything like as much on this.

Will these devices ever appear? How much will they be? How much unrepairable technology will be incorporated? Will ooor Wullie give them away?

Gates can do stuff with his own money that most NGOs (quite rightly) can't do.
