Congratulations Powerswitch on having achieved a membership of over 1000 . . . who are they all?!

(only just noticed - it probably went over the 1000 mark a few days back)

It is a good point, this. I mean, how many people actually regularly post here, every couple of days or so? 25 or something? I am sure there are lots of lurkers, as I once was, and if you look back two years the regular group of posters was somewhat different, which means some people have moved away from posting, and then there are those who are promoting viagra, mobile 'phones or petrolprices.com, but that must still leave at least 7 or 800 people who are joined up but don't write much if at all. Funny business.

Probably more realistically, there are around a hundred of us who have posted more than 100 times, and around 20 who have posted more than 1000 times.

I mostly lurk because I have nothing to add to most topics. It took me probably 6 months or more to register, and only did that in the end so I could keep up with the posts easier.

Oh dear, I'm one of the 1000+ers. I have nothing to add to most topics but go ahead and do so anyway!

I dunno, if there's one person on this forum who consistently contributes high quality insider info then it's you Tess. My 1000+ posts are too many. Your 1000+ posts are not enough! :)

It's taking me a long time to get to 1,000 posts, partly due to slow internet access. For the next two nights I've got a 3G phone signal, so could start to catch up. But the weather's rubbish and I'm going to have to be careful with power or I may run low, so maybe I won't be able to! Why does the sun stop shining just when I could use the power

I have been lurking for a little while. Reading, digesting all the info. Which is very well presented and clearly the work of clued up people. So thankyou to all those with 1000+ post's, you have helped me view the world very differently.

I'm very interested in so many of the topics and i'm looking forward to chatting to you guys about some of them. Trying to disscuss any of our immediate problems with friends and most of the family, is frustrating to say the least. :x

Reaching 1000 members is a great start, and the site is very easy to find and very welcoming to newcomers, from what i have read. :D :D

However, 1000 is, in my eyes, also a bit worrying for our country in the near future. Millions of us have the internet at work and in our homes. If a site that is well run and as easy to find as this only has 1000 members, then there are so many out there not asking even the most basic questions.

Things that effect there standard of living, like fuel prices or inflation

How big do the clue's have to get :?: :?:

Much bigger i hope, i'm not ready for the day it dawns

Think this warrants a new "Come in all you Lurkers" thread?? :D

I'm on a motorhoming forum, because it's very useful when you live in one. It has 27,528 members, and there are 592 people (including 116 members) on line at this very moment. I usually lose the argument in any discussions about climate change, and PO almost never gets a mention, although there are some fairly enlightened members. It does show that we've got a little way to go. I don't read many of the topics but read almost everything on PowerSwitch.
