Listening to this now.

First interesting fact according to Matt Symonds:

No one has found any oil or gas in the arctic. The fact that there is so much there is simply speculation and hopefullness. Assuming that it is there nicely fills the supply gap in the demand driven oil models.

More of a paraphrase than a quote, but you get his drift. Imagine all the cost of the rush to the arctic and in the end there's nothing there! How many people/goverments etc will be pinning their hopes on huge reserves there, and miss out on years of peak preporation?
