Vote Labour to get a new Conservative party later?

I am a natural conservative (small C)
However I hate the current Tory party : an inept duplicitous crowd of self-serving morons.
Should I vote Labour next time around, let them eff everything up as usual and hope/pray that a new revitalised Conservative party emerges in due course?

That's the perennial problem - being offered false choices. Brexit/Remain, Conservative/Labour, Trump/Clinton. It goes on. I understand how you feel. Essentially if anyone seeks power they probably aren't fit to wield it.

If you hate the current Tory party you are not a genuine small c conservative.
Both parties are flawed so you should vote on the party that is closest to your personal and political agenda, whatever that is.

I know what you are saying LB. But, Christopher Hitchens is as hard core a small c conservative as they come. But, he has openly stated he wishes for the death of the current Tory party in order for a true conservative party to be able to grow out of the ashes.

The tory party needs an extended period in opposition in order to rediscover what it is for.

if you vote labour wont that make the conservatives move to the left ? one of the reasons you had new labour is they felt they needed to move the right because of conservative success . if you wanted the conservatives to move to the right ukip might do that .
if you feel the present conservative party is too right wing I suppose a labour vote might work but I could never vote labour

It's not so much that they are too right wing but, as Vortex says, they are "inept duplicitous crowd of self-serving morons".
Seriously, May, Fox, IDS, Johnson, Leadsom, Davies, Hunt, Williamson... They are all incompetent!

The Saxons had the right idea with 100s courts. No area should be administered larger than 1/2 a day horse ride.

Both parties should split up in my opinion.
Neither are functioning in the 21st century given the internal divisions within them.

Yes, it's been clear since the 2015 GE that differences within both parties are too large. Split, followed by electoral reform and permanent collection government would be more productive than what we give right now.

The Romans had the right idea; no one gets to vote until they're 30. That would have stopped me helping to vote us into the EU in the first place.

You’d have been happy to pay your taxes without being able to vote then? 😃
