I don't know for sure, but the production of AK47's is a huge cottage industry in that part of the world. They are crude by modern standards, but cheap to make from readily available materials using 3rd world toolshops, and the end result is easy to maintain, and repair, and is reliable. The ammunition is also widely available from many sources.

Firstly, what was done was unspeakably monstrous.

What was equally monstrous was the targeted bombing and killing of Taliban fighter's families largely consisting of women and children, that has been conducted by the Pakistani forces over the last few months as part of their offensive against the Taliban. Whilst there is no excuse for the atrocities committed the other day, this is the reason given by the Taliban for them. Ask yourself the question, which is more monstrous, the anonymous killing of innocents from two miles up or the shooting of innocents from two feet away? There are monsters on all sides in this war.

Secondly, notwithstanding (and certainly not justifying) any of the above atrocities, do I really need to spell out to people on here the history of Western adventurism in that part of the world over the last century, leading to wholly inappropriately drawn borders that cut directly across organically evolved ethnic and religious divisions, in turn leading to the mess that we are now witnessing?

It's possible we have reached some high point of humanitarianism and empathy and now our masters wish to put a stop to it. This is the Shock Doctrine era, after all.

As long as we have armys we have the death penalty, if you have armed police you have the death penalty .

A couple of days ago someone posted about some women who was posting jihadi material on facebook and giving advice to men how to get to syria she was jailed for 5 years, I said they should have hung her .

The reponse was thats barbaric your killing people for having ideas, well her ideas if you went and read what she posted was how the worst thing in the world was disbelief, and the highest form of stopping disbelief was physically stopping it by fighting the unbeliever till he either died was enslaved or believed .

And it was all about how a women could help with jihad by smuggling arms, collecting funds, encouraging men to go and fight, fighting herself having babys and bringing them up to fight .

5 years time she will be let out and can continue with the struggle if she was hung she would not be able to help jihad.

I very much doubt she would care if jihadis tortured captives, thats why long term I think they have a pretty good chance
