When they do things in China it's at a scale!
50,000 small coal-fired furnaces would be shut down in 2014 with many power plants in high-intensity industries undergoing various processes to reduce emissions.
Premier Li Keqiang spoke at the opening of China’s important annual parliamentary sessions, where he said the country is to ‘declare war’ on pollution.

I"m not holding my breath, although if I were in China that's the first thing I'd be trying to do.

I dunno..if China announces it's going to do something, particularly something physical like this, then for good or ill, China doesn't hang about.
