Fighting a losing battle..

Post by RookieJr »

I think it was Michael Ruppert who normally says "I don't want to save the world, the world doesn't want saving. I want to save you". With this in mind I read the BBC debate on car sharing lanes (link below) and it really shows how right Michael is. Its nice to see some people realising the problem but it's depressing to read how selfish some of these people can be:

It's the attitudes of these selfish people that leave me with no sympathy for them. They'll get what's coming to them over the next 5-10 years.

Civilisation is a process where the majority are dragged up!

Most people don?t actually care beyond their own front doors. So long as they get the food they want, can watch TV and party with friends they are not interested in anything else. Fine! There are, however, a small minority that do care. There is also an even smaller minority that have the power to do things (and most of them don?t care either).

I think the only thing you can do is inform people and then let them make up their own minds (you can?t do their thinking for them). Then work with those that do care.
The only future we have is the one we make!

This was the master plan of Neo-Conservatism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism_ and it looks like its won world-wide. Regan and Thatcher implemented it everyother goverment in all countries have or are following it through.
Enjoy yourself with the time remaining, I've decided I'm going to.

Interesting isn?t it? On one hand you have countries like China who are very secretive and hid things from their citizens in the dark. On the other hand you have countries like the US who hid things in full view!

My wife is of the opinion that people are just too think and just don?t care for anything that there is no point to trying to make things better. If the human race wipes itself out then people are really just getting what they deserve!
