Awareness is growing and the debate about the peak and decline of global oil production is gathering pace. But what evidence is there of an imminent peak? What are the consequences going to be? What can be done to mitigate the decline of global oil production? What personal action can we take? What can we do to raise awareness and discussion of this situation further?

If these are the questions that interest you, then Peak Speak, hosted by PowerSwitch.org.uk at the Zero Emissions Development in Hackbridge, Surrey on Saturday July 16th is the event for you. Since Autumn 2004, PowerSwitch.org.uk has developed a wide-spread grass-roots network of people across the UK wanting to get the idea of peak oil accepted. Peak Speak is a perfect venue for anyone keen to discuss everything related to the situation and broaden their understanding with other similar minded people in an informal open forum, while at the same time spreading the idea into the social consciousness. Get the information you will not get anywhere else!

The BedZed Pavillion is a two floor mezzanine venue. Throughout the day we will have speakers on the upper floor while the lower floor and outside (weather permitting) will give plenty of space for discussion of the issues raised. The times below indicate the start times. Length of speeches and any subsequent Q&A will vary (though will not overlap with following speakers).
