Doomerosity poll

Having seen the recent projections from Deloitte which re-enforce Chris's earlier views on the UK energy situation, I thought it was about time for a new poll.
I wondered if the doomerosity level of a PO forum is dependent upon the lifetime of that forum, for example the PeakOil forum is often said to be very negative (high doomerosity level), however our younger forum seems more positive (low doomerosity level), this could be a function of the amount of time spent discussing the issues, (the understanding of the effects of PO eventually leading abject doom).
So if we run this poll, and repeat in say six months we will find out if growing understanding and discussion leads us to conclude that we are truly all up sh1t creek.
So how do we currently feel about the UK's chances cica 2020?
Ps Ignore my Poll text and vote with your gut instinct.

Right - I'm gonna take what I see as the middle ground.
Ok , we have an electricity energy gap in 2020 along with dwindling oil supplies.
Now I think we are in for big change, hard times and a lower standard of living.
But I think even with these reduced amounts of energy, we wont be "doomed".
My definition of "doomed" is no more state, wide scale anarchy , looting, mass starvation and bodies piling up in the streets.
In the end 47 million British got by on a fraction of the energy we use today whilst cut off from Empire and having the shit kicked out of us.
Ok ok we are a different generation , but in the end , the idiots, chavs, rioters, and anyone else who doesnt play the austerity ball game will have to be shot !

LOL
I find it hard to choose from that poll.
1. I expect some of us will make it.
2. Expect the worst.
3. We are doomed - imo we are in for a big adjustment that will impact everybody - some of us will come out the other side but society as we know it and even as our parents knew it will no longer exist - it will have changed radically.

I feel there are so many places that I can cut my energy use without it spoiling my life, but then I don't care about flights abroad and could probably get by without a car. My biggest concern is what form our business will take. Overall I think the majority will be OK, all be it on a much lower energy base, we survived before and can do it again!

What about elites? Can't we have a revolution and shoot them too?

As usual the very upperclasses will be fine. They'll just cut it again by pi$$ing on those who stand on the lower social steps!
By the way we shouldn't be shooting "the idiots, chavs, rioters, and anyone else who doesnt play the austerity ball game " rather than teaching them where we are heading and what we can achieve if we pull together.
Who we should be shooting is the fu$$ing goverments and corporate bosses who oppress the lower end and force credit on the middle end (to make them feel better off) all this leads to overuse of fossil fuels and a break down in community. Community is the spirit the upperclasses fear the most, hence why Miss. Thatcher broke the working classes through illegal means and allowed drugs and crime to infect our villages and towns as the work moved away. All this brought about was a break up in the working classes as we began to fight amongst eachother and stopped helping the old lady down the street. Hell some even began mugging her! Brother against brother! All this was the master plan as it pressure off the goverments and their fear of the majority of this country! I salute you Miss. Thatcher and now Mr. Tony Blair, 3 cheers for Neo-Conservatism. Its great it makes us hate eachother, it makes us destroy our planet, it makes us go to war, oh but it makes us money - whopeee fu$$ing dooo!!!
