hey.

Will beards be popular after PO?

I'm wondering if i should hoard some cheap bic razors now.

Or will goatees be more popular?

I'm guessing, in the event of a slow/fast crash .... beards will be popular. Bad news for you ladies... :?

I'm going for the goatee...;)

Surely you will need to shave for a goatee (unless you're 15)?

you'd be better with a cut throat than a few dozen bags of bics.
Or a decent leccy and a way to charge it.

A good cut throat and sharpener will last more or less forever

Beard and dog hair clippers. I can run mine off my 12 volt system and cheap inverter (the clippers, not the beard ).

If I want to impress, or when it gets annoying, I turn the beard into sexy designer stubble, and then let it regrow :D.

Marvellous Mr Renewable has a beard, I've never seen him without it actually. Of course, I like it :D

If you don't want a cut throat razor you could try a double edge safety razor. The blades for them are dirt cheap- a quick look on eBay reveals 50 of a fairly good Turkish blade for less than a fiver, and Merkur does some good razors (ie the bit you load the blade into) for 20 quid. I've got enough blades to last me until well into the 2020s at current rate of use, I do fear my limiting factor would be the availability of hot water come that time.

Is that a classic case of dogs looking like their owners?

Bonnie, (that's the dog) had a wild boar tail in her mouth and it just drooped exactly the way Fabrice's moustache does - making them look really similar !

Glad you like the blog.

I can second the safety blade/Merkur recommendation. It would be good to be able to put a new edge on a safety blade.

I know this sounds daft but, given the low cost, have you tried Cheops Pyramid scale-models (a la "Supernature" by Lyall Watson)?

I stopped shaving in the summer. Mainly because I was tired of shaving every day for 30 odd years. As normal, I stopped shaving when I took 2 weeks summer holiday, but went I went back to work, I didn't bother to shave. Then I had to BUY a beard trimmer (so my wife insisted) - Boots own was good value and I use it every couple of weeks to stop the beard getting too long. It's very liberating not to have to shave anymore. I might go back to clean-shaven one day. I will see how the mood takes me. :)

I grew a bit of a beard once, but it itched like hell and I hated the way food and drink got stuck in it. (Eurgh.)
