not really imo....

Nothing major has happened too BAU, on a global scale. Currently its all very minor imo compared to historical events like the world wars & the black death. Peak oil impact hasn't had a big global impact, yet. Most people aren't even aware the problem exists.

I think people are jumping the gun on the "long emergency".
