From https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/ ... atest-news
In the same statement, PHE revealed that two of the four new cases of coronavirus had been healthcare workers.

Doyle added: “Two of these new cases are healthcare workers and as soon as they were identified, we advised them to self-isolate in order to keep patient contact to a minimum.

“We are now working urgently to identify all patients and other healthcare workers who may have come into close contact, and at this stage we believe this to be a relatively small number.
So one was at the GP surgery, but we don't know about the other yet...

Makes sense. Northants is a hot spot for endless globalist open border shite.

[Yes I lived about there]

This paper has a good sample size (1099) of hospitalised cases, lots of interesting data.

Anyone else noticed the sharp drop-off in information coming out of China over the last few days? All we are getting is the official news, which nobody believes.

The median incubation period was 3.0 days (range, 0 to 24.0 days).

Good point. Certainly fewer videos on Twitter from Chinese social media etc. I guess their Internet lockdown is pretty effective.

That result is quite interesting and may help to explain why this virus is so infectious. If it can take 24 days to incubate, that might suggest a very small amount of virus can cause infection. You don't need to be blasted with loads of it. It just takes a while for it to reproduce sufficiently to cause symptoms.

With all this dubious information I can not tell if the US or the UK is ahead on this infection curve. It seems like the UK has more cases at present but that might be due to better reporting in the UK vs. the US.
At any rate it seems likely that this will pass over me and infect me and mine in spite of government efforts to stop the spread.
My total disbelief of government competence is once again vindicated.
Of course if they wanted to step up and really do a good job this time I would be pleasantly surprised.

It is reported in the guardian that China is now only reporting cases as confirmed once the patient has a positive test AND is showing symptoms. As the tests being used also have a significant level of false negatives the drop in number of confirmed cases must be viewed as spurious.

China has declared victory and left (sent people back to work)
