I loved that final episode: the reaper-binder was amazing:
1. Horse powered
2. Designed by engineers
3. Mass produced in a factory
4. Rugged and repairable with hand tools.
I feel that this is an optimum way forward: use high tech to produce SENSIBLE things in factories, not plastic tat nor energy hogs.

I've only watched four episodes so far; the series is an interesting exercise although I could have done with more technical information and less of all the 'this is jolly hard work' comments, though I suppose the makers of the programme are appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Recently I thought, "fair play to them, killing, preparing and then eating animals" but then I can't recall any of the three participants actually killing an animal - the ones I saw being killed were dispatched by others (rabbits, pheasants, dunno about the turkey and what about the cow tongue?) but others might have a different take on it. At least they're going through most of the process. As a vegan, I admire that.
