Christ Martenson - Coronavirus: Prepare For National Lockdown

https://youtu.be/efaDuE-XEi4

Useful section on 'viral loading' and 'inoculum' ... which gives a valid reason to wear a mask.

Essentially, the illness acquired from touching a door handle may be less bad than one picked up when someone sneezes on your face.

Also points out that many ill are young people.

In reality when the time comes I really don't expect anyone to turn up.
We live close to a big tent & mobile home camp site ... I was wondering if we will start to see Brummies coming for 'special' breaks in the fresh air ...

Out of fairness to your distant customer, who may not live that long anyway, tell them you fully expect to be requisitioned as a field hospital sometime next week, and adopt the Best Western Hotel business continuity swing role strategy. (They've offered their hotels to be converted to hospitals.)

A local farmer who does not normally offer camping facilities, has received an enquiry from a family about camping.
They have offered a generous fee, provided that they "are the only campers in that field or in any adjacent field"
They wish to bring a camper van, a luggage trailer, a large tent, and a small rowing boat, to the coastal location.

Sounds to me like a bug out plan, rather than a camping holiday.

Norway was banning such 'holidays' .. as you place the local tiny hospitals at risk.

Singapore Concerned

Singapore Development Minister Wong said:

We are watching America closely, yes you are right that the numbers are rising there as well. But if you look at the countries that we have highlighted, one concern we have in UK, in Switzerland, in Japan, it’s not just about the numbers that they have reported.

In the case of the UK it is rising very rapidly but it’s not just about the numbers but the fact that these countries have abandoned any attempt at containing the spread of the virus. They have said so publicly, especially the UK and Switzerland, perhaps less so for Japan; but certainly in the case of the UK and Switzerland. I think the UK has been most public in acknowledging that there’s no point containing and they are simply now at the phase of trying to delay the spread.

So if there is no deliberate effort to contain then we anticipate that the numbers of infected cases in these countries will rise even more sharply in the coming days or weeks, and that’s why we are quite concerned.

HMG Text Of Doom

I suppose everyone received the govt text this morning telling us not to go to hospital if we get the virus.

Just sit at home and die.

Is that the one with the rather fetching balcony?

I have a client in St Leonards on sea and have always thought it is the most pleasantly situated Tesco in the land.

Illogical, as all hospitals are going to be overwhelmed? And those that bug out are no different to SIPers - by avoiding the contagion through distancing, they place less strain on the system.

Don't worry he's going to shoot it. He has got a mighty bigly super doomer magnum, with optional grenade launcher.

Sort of, yes. The shop floor is on the first floor, overlooking the wooded parts of St Leonards. Ground floor is a car park.
