Peak production refers to the point at which the growth in a crop, animal or other food source begins to slow down, rather than the point at which production actually declines.
If that is the case we had Peak Oil many years ago!! And we have just had Peak Unconventional Oil as well.

That was my first thought too , the rate of increase has decreased as politicians would put it.
Amusing reading the comments on the link too , apparently peak food is caused by all those "greenies" making us burn bio fuels in our cars.
If you had read The Prostitute State you would realise that the rise in biofuels is part of the assault on the population by the Kleptocrasy (the 1%). They profit in many ways from the drive for biofuels. First there is the subsidy that is paid in the US and other places for the crop's growth and then there is their production and guaranteed sale. Then they profit from the increased price of foodstuffs because of the area of land taken up to grow the crops increases the cost of foods. Then there is the clamour to increase food production and the supposed productivity increases afforded by GMOs. Then they gain from the backlash against "greenies" who supposedly wanted these "green fuel" crops grown in the first place! Hands down win for the Kleptocrasy.

Could you all write to your MP and ask them if they are going to continue in the Kleptocrasy by supporting the Kleptocrat's lobbyists in Parliament or are they going to rejoin the human race and vote for what is best for us rather than kleptocratic corporations and billionaires?
