Running on tyres made in China and Japan. Between them, that's well over half of global manufacturing capacity, with tight JIT supply. And if that also needs spare parts, working IT...

Either visit several different supermarkets, purchasing a reasonable weekly shop in each one, or use a trade cash and carry, or have shopping delivered, again from several different stores.

I agree that cash is far preferable to plastic cards. You could perhaps use a card in ONE supermarket, but not in multiple stores.
Also split your goodies across two or more sites : office and home maybe.

So you are left with something if you get raided by do-gooders or by thieves.

Supermarkets here often have rice and flour in twenty-five pound sacks. One bag or each and you have a lot of calories stored and as you only picked up the one bag you don't look like you are doing anything out of the ordinary. If you bought say five five pound sacks of flour it would look like hoarding.

Anyone else finding it hard to sleep?

I usually never have any problems sleeping .. but lately I often wake up worrying.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Sorry to hear that vortex2. Stress is not good.

If you are OK to feel a bit groggy in the morning try

Herbal sleep tablets - valerian from pound shops - doesn't work with booze, best if you are already tired out.

This stuff is back in stock at Poundstretchers at less than 1/2 this price:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bells-Mucus- ... SwtSFc3pBi

You take 2 teaspoons before 1 or 2 paracetamol. They interact about 1 hour later.

Or try the hay fever tablets - Cetrizine makes me drowsy, but not other people. Trouble is it lasts too long.

Obviously if you can persuade a high priest for 'downers', codeine etc. that works.

That's not good as sleep is vital for a strong immune system.

I used to have massive trouble sleeping when younger. Not now, 'tho I always wake up tired. Nothing to do with the corona virus, I just wake up tired. I've got in some basic food, the usual suspects, for a month or so. No masks or anything else. Not worrying about the virus really. Just monitoring the thread here and the mainstream news.

Woke up at 04.00. Again. Updated the Mustard household pandemic plan with a few more notions. Then looked at the latest news developments, and posted the link to the academic estimate of the probable extent in Iran here.

Then dozed off, somehow.

Listened to a call-in today ..

1. Don't go to A and E.

2. Don't go to the GP practice

3. Do call 111 for advice.

Err, ummm ... 111 is permanently busy.

Politicians and the rich will have access to ICUs ... the rest of us will have to die at home.
