I think I said the 29th of June..,
My 40th birthday...
Many happy returns of the day...Welcome to your 40s, its not so bad Im 44 next month, rather that than 15 in my book. At least we can look back and think thank god we were born in the 60s and have be able to enjoy the last 4 decades. 10 to 20 years or so starting with black and white TV with only 2 then 3 channels and only in the evening, old dial phones, local shops, post offices and garages, far fewer cars on the road and hardly any supermarkets, no microwaves, no computers, no mobiles or ipods, no central heating (for many), one car (if you were lucky) powercuts, strikes, 3 day weeks, the first oil shock, recession and then... 20 odd years of the energy intensive society, central heating hell even patio heating too! Colour digital TV (24/7) computers and the internet, mobile phones, cheap holidays abroad, 4X4s the rise of the supermarkets, cheap energy, cheap food, globalisation and the outsourceing of industry and banking to cheaper foriegn labour and many more, bla bla ....
Now...well... we get the same again...
BUT TUTHER WAY ABOUT!
Enjoy your big day
