I'm unable to attend the conference this time - it's a long way for a 1 day event and I've a clash of dates anyway. Sorry about that but I'll look forward to reports / transcripts.

I wonder if all future PowerSwitch meetings could be conducted in either a mixed mode or exclusively on-line?

By mixed mode I mean that we have either:
a) audio/video feed to the internet so that those not able to attend in person could follow the discussion directly.

or at least

b)have audio feed alone

and

c) allow on-line input, which would be read out at the meeting as part of the proceedings.

The total cost of the equipment need not be more than a few hundred pounds, plus we would need to have say 1Mbit broadband line or better at the selected venue.

Think of the amount of oil we would save!
What a shame, seemed quite promising, this human species.

I mentioned it before in another post that I have a spare room should anyone require accomodation.

I should be available for the meal either before or after.

I'm coming down from Leeds the night before, but am staying with friends - they might think I'm a bit rude if I bugger off out with a load of other people instead of spending the evening with them.

However, when you've decided where you're going I could always suggest to my friends that we go there and then "accidentally" bump into you all

Hi everyone, details for the October 10th meetup are confirmed.

VENUE & TIME BOOKED - from 6,30pm, The Champion, just off Oxford Street
The Champion

Really nice pub, been there a few times myself. Prices are very reasonable and they serve a good organic lager! Oh and good pub grub too. But they stop at 8.30pm

We have half of the upstairs booked from 6.30pm under the name of 'James Howard'. If you mention PowerSwitch they'll look at you blankly. :D

Please feel free to invite anyone else you know who'll be coming along.

James

I take it this is for the Monday night and not the Tuesday night?

Will it be possible to stream the conference over the Internet?
