4 out of 4 now testing positive.
This variant seems slightly less unpleasant than the one I got after my first 3 vaccinations, but it has a wider range of symptoms.
Only one of us four had the recent vaccination booster (the rest of us did not qualify) and she seems to be the first on the road to recovery.
It is still an unpleasant 3 or 4 days in bed, and I am nervous it is doing some long term damage to my heart and blood vessels
This is far worse than any side effects of the vaccines we had
What do you think would happen if something similar to covid turns up in the near future?

The peak weeks of the year for influenza and other viral diseases in the UK are typically from week 43 to week 13.
I think that may include March.

I've not been on here for a couple of weeks but I notice that no-one has mentioned 'recent events' in the USA.
I think their new president is going to put that anti-vaccination chap RFK jr in charge of Health.
And they don't like lockdowns, or most other public health measures either, in large swaths of the country.
I like Americans, but I think if there's a new 'plague' of any sort we (and most other countries) are literally going to have to bar them entry.

The early indications are that the next administration in the USA will be disfunctional at every imaginable level, lead by a narcissist who might be on the slippery slope towards dementia. I have absolutely no idea what will happen in the country in the next four years, and I really do not want to frighten myself by trying to second guess it.

Yes sometimes it is much better for your mental health to not think too much about what might happen; especially with Mao Tse Trump directing operations and being advised how to make government more efficient by the evil toad Musk.
