And as for this:
Quote:
There is a high probability of a major natural disaster happening within the next 2-5 weeks. Timeline suggest it will occur by the end of March but no later than the 11th of April. The target area is California.

Bunkum - or they deserve a noble prize.
Yea, but California DID have a little shake this morning, a 7 or 8 so far away as not worry about it, with a couple of 4.5 to 5 after-shocks..........the poster reckons a biggie is building up, and "predicted" this on Saturday.........

If the biggie does happen soon, then I will be confused. These "psychics" are definitely not supposed to get quite so many guesses right so accurately within their time frame. Well I haven't seen it before anyway.

I dare say someone predicts a Californian quake every day of the week. When it does happen someone will be able to say, "See, I was right".

I am delaying the first two pretext events in my updated post until the week of the 17th. I got some new information that for the most part nothing major could happen until after the Crimean referendum. This also goes for the 10 yr U.S Treasury or anything financial market related. The week will be relatively quiet except for news regarding the Malaysian plane crash and the Crimean referendum. Once Russia annexes Crimea all hell will start to break loose because diplomacy will not be an option anymore. Russia annexing Crimea will be the trigger for WW3 and the meltdown of the global financial system. Here are some events to expect from the 17th up to the 28th. I will go over the WW3 scenario in a later post

Financial

1. The beginning of the collapse of the global financial system
2. European and U.S sanctions against Russia in which then Russia will fire back by cutting off gas supply to European counties and dumping U.S Treasuries. The Chinese will then follow suit soon after
3. U.S 10 yr Treasury will be above 3.2% by the 28th
4. Chinese Lehman moment
5. Gold 1450-1500 or above by the 28th

WW3

1. Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict(Russia will invade Eastern Ukraine)
2. NATO will come to the defense of the Baltic states
3. Hezbollah/Palestinian retaliation against Israel
4. China ADIZ over South China Sea
5. fighter jet show down
6. an attack on a warship
7. Libyan attack on a North Korean oil tanker
8. another North Korean provocation
9. Israel airstrike inside Lebanon, Syria or Gaza
10. NATO intervention in the Ukraine(It will likely begin in the form of Turkey coming to the defense of the Crimean Tatars)
Looks like some have already come to pass:

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get my spade and dig an enormous bunker in my back yard!

I haven't bothered with verifying links - they are all available on the that stupid thread.......sure, a lot of them could be due to reasonable deductions and/or educated guesswork so have a 50/50 chance, but some are pretty unexplainable. (Although the poster tries hard to say that it's mostly deduced from what he sees going on).

Oh, I have given up following that thread - it's way to close for comfort. If the shaking in California does turn into the big one within his timeline, am going to give up on P.O. 'n all as well. No point in knowing about it - better just to stick me head back in the sand and go have a a beer.......or 20.

This is just bloody stupid........

That would certainly be interesting to see! (A bit gritty maybe) :D

Spring was about 3 weeks late. It's early this year, because the soil is so much warmer to begin with, and because the "azores high" has got going early.

Summer last year wasn't quite as dry as you remember, but it wasn't bad either.

Well I want a cracking summer this year cos I've got some new bees arriving in the not too distant future.

I'm jealous. I've got a new garden, and a brand new pond and am planning on getting some bees but a combination of money situation and the fact the garden is somewhat lacking in vegetation at the moment, having been completely redesigned, means the bees are going to have to wait until next year.

However, on the topic of spring arriving early:

Behaviour

Pond skaters float on the surface of water sensing vibrations and ripples in the water with sensitive hairs on their legs and bodies. If an insect accidentally falls into the water, the ripples it makes will tell the pond skater exactly where it is and often what it is. The pond skater will dart across the surface of the pond to catch the stricken insect. Pond skaters also hunt other surface-dwelling insects including nymphs of their own species.

Pond skaters are very agile on the surface of the water and can jump to evade a predator.

This species will fly far from water to hibernate through the winter. They emerge from hibernation in late April.
Two of these turned up on my new pond today. Even though I'm in the deepest south, this is still very early.

We have a lot of insect life on our pond too at the moment. Also, loads of frogspawn - much earlier than last year.
