Animal Farm springs to mind. Not exactly Fascism, but just as bad.
Once everything is owned or controlled by the state then all I have to do is steal the state and we're pretty much done.
There was an interesting piece on Radio 4 last week, about George Orwell. He was upset that Animal Farm was often described as a book warning about Socialism, when in fact it warned of Totalitarianism.

I see Totalitarianism and Fascism as two sides of the same coin.

The problem with all politics is drawing a line that cannot be crossed, a Bill of Rights certainly helps in this respect but it needs to be updated as the world changes and new threats to liberty are invented, in which case you get back to the problem of where to draw the line.

We need a Bill of Rights that binds all Governments for all time and can never be suspended.
If they can be repealed at whim they are not a 'right'.

I don't see much difference between Totalitarianism and Fascism.

I get particularly irked when Governments assign themselves special rights denied to everyone else.
