Well I guess it'll create a bit of demand destruction - people will fear going into London, flying etc.

I'm particularly interested to see exactly how this affects both the media coverage and the actual outcome of the G8. It all seems remarkably convenient - we mustn't have the general public getting too concerned about poverty and climate change, after all... (Nevermind PO.)

Let's all talk about terrorism instead.

222 intjw brl URGENT Report: Islamic group makes claim of responsibility for London blasts
BERLIN (AP) - A group calling itself ?Secret Organization - al-Qaida in Europe? has posted a claim of responsibility for the series of blasts in London, a German magazine reported Thursday.
Der Spiegel magazine reported that the group posted its message on a Web site popular with Islamic militants, which it did not name. It said the group claimed the explosions were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

GNER are concerned that there may be something on their trains. I suspect though that we have seen the last of attacks today.

From wiki:

?there have been reports that this may have been caused by a suicide bomber.?

Going to be repercussions on British Muslims?

They are going to be spun to death...

I read an interesting editorial on the spin on these not so long ago, I was thinking of posting a few bits for discussion here anyway. I'll definitely get onto it soon...
