Just to say both my younger daughters went on this course along with a friend's daughter. They had a great two weeks.

Hi folks... sorry I don't drop in here much. I'm still trundling on. Still restricted in my lifestyle... VERY restricted if I'm honest, but hey ho life goes on. I won a camera in a photo competition recently, so that's my latest diversion. No need to walk much then. I'm doing a presentation on "...

Thanks, we got more info and some positive feed back, and so my daughter is going to go ahead... Hopefully it will live up to expectations - it seems to be in a lovely part of the world if nothing else. :D

Thanks for this. I did try ringing the Permaculture Association last week, but got no reply. Will keep trying. There isn't much information available about it, and she's wary of heading off on something that might be poorly run. We'll keep trying to find out more, because if solid, it would be a gre...

Anyone know about this Permaculture course in Cantabria?

Anyone know about this Permaculture course in Cantabria? It's called "FIGHTING FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING" And aimed at young people. All funded apparently with just a contribution being made to flights. My daughter is interested, but we can't find much more info. There are some typos (not cor...

Thanks 3rd Rock... Yes saw that.... I am fairly active in the ME world now so don't miss much - good or bad - written about ME. ;) As for recovery? Well I'm taking each day as it comes. When I was first ill I was constantly grieving for my old energetic life, and hugely frustrated that I could no lo...

Oh... very sad to hear this news.... My daughter and I did a course a few years ago with Patrick, and afterwards he and I had a few conversations about how online teaching could work.

A real gentleman and an inspiration.....

Thanks for asking 3rd Rock... I'm still quite unwell sadly. I think I've slowed the decline rate however. I am adjusting to this new lifestyle slowly, which involves very small amounts of measured activity, then a lot of waiting for symptoms to subside afterwards.... I've now got a serious set of wh...

Thanks Gug - I'll watch that. I'm on Vit D supplementation at the moment as a precaution, but my Vit D levels generally are okay (last time they were tested anyway). Aiming for more sun too.... difficult last winter of course, but I'm trying to make up for lost time now... My illness was very sudden...

I think, in truth, that ME cases differ fairly widely. Diagnosis seems to be mostly by exclusion (ie patient not ill with anything they can test for) and the preferred term in the UK is still Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - which does seem to gather up quite a wide variety of sufferers. Consequently pred...

I have a Kindle and love it... (so easy to make the writing bigger -rather than look for my glasses).

A while back I might have jumped at one or two of these. Right now I'm rather more into historical novels.... 8)
