The thing that really frightens me, is that this book was written in the 50's and so must have been pretty scarey then, but look how agressive and mean people are these days in comparison with the 1950's . I used to work on the trams in Nottm until recently and what can I say.....I discovered that t...

Bilderberg Group
Hi all. Don't know how old this is, but it's quite interesting: Declining Energy Reserves and Economic Downturn "Of course, discussion at Bilderberg 2005 turned to oil. An American Bilderberger expressed concern over the sky-rocketing oil price. One oil industry insider at the meeting remarked ...

Robber barons
When a complete collapse occurs, I think that the ruling, upper-class/boss-class will try to keep control, with the armed forces and former police working for them. On the other hand, with no economy, what could the ruling-class offer them? They'd be able to just take whatever they wanted. The monar...

Useful to know, but...
How will we make jam when things get really tough and sugar is scarce? For eg, can honey be used instead of sugar? Can bottled fruit (without sugar) last as long as jam?

I use P ersonally I nstigated S oil S timulant (as Bob Flowerdew calls it) on my plants, whenever possible (which is not often, since my allotment is 2 miles away). Obviously, it reduces the amount of water you need to transport, but it is also a good source of nitrogen for plants. When I was a kid,...

'Plants for a Future' By Ken Fern.
'Plants for a Future' By Ken Fern. Ken Fern lives on some land in Cornwall with his family, raising many different plants for food, fuel, clothing, dyes, you name it.
