I don't know about you but the phrase "The temperature of the Earth in the past few decades does not correlate with solar activity at all," seems pretty clear to me, there is not a solar link. But who is this Sami Solanki? ... You know what, I think he might know what he's talking about.....

There is a great deal of uncertainty, though. The warming could be a regional effect. And recent results from the thermal imaging system on the Mars Odyssey probe suggest that the polar cap is not shrinking at all, but varies greatly from one Martian year to the next, although the details have yet ...

Dr Doom The entry for the 'Mars is warming' myth is here http://environment.newscientist.com/channel/earth/climate-change/dn11642 Please have a read. If increased solar output really was responsible, we should be seeing warming on all the planets and their moons, not just Mars and Pluto. That seems...

I've just deleted a detailed rebuttal of Dr Doom's post because it's not worth a reply. If he won't listen to a great majority of the world's scientists, he's not going to listen to us on this forum. So I'm not going to bother with him. Well just so you know, I'm not going to respond to your post e...

Because it's geological problem and, therefore, they can't actually do anything to stop it. The most serious implications of peak oil (mass starvation) in my mind are primarily an economic and political problem. Even if we had all that wizzer drill and pumping tech, each well would, in turn peak, o...

Probably because it doesn't fit with the "man made" global warming propaganda.

The ice caps of mars have been melting for the last few years.

As have the ice-moons of Jupiter.

Yes, there is a good chance they will fail.

Especially given the rate the anti-nwo movement is growing.

The reason I don't believe man is causing global warming is because other planets in the solar system are heating up a lot as well as earth.

The current warming is the result of solar cycles.

I'm an 'ex' believer too, I don't know about abiotic oil, I'm not sure it is really provable either way. But the reason he states for US oil production peaking sounds plausible. What really made me question peak oil, is why TPTB, whoever you believe they are haven't done anything to avert peak oil. ...

Interesting point, although I believe this was back in an age where gold was the main thing used as money. So yes, discovering loads of gold, and then bringing it back to spend on a fixed amount of goods and services would probably cause inflation. Nowadays it probably wouldn't have this effect, see...

Inflation is bad because it is a very effective way for governments & banks
to surreptiously transfer / steal wealth from the people.

It is an extra "invisible" tax on your wealth.

Personally I think I can spend my money more effectively
than the government can, on my behalf.

Yes we could.

One of Alex's other arguments against abortion, apart from it being immoral,
is that it is the first step down the slippery slope of eugenics.

But I guess if you were in favour of eugenics you would see this as a
good thing.
