How did Cuba Survive Peak Oil??
Hey,
I have recently watched a film about how Cuba survived peak oil and was wondering do you think we would be able to survive peak oil if the same thing happened to us? Or are we all stuck in our old ways too much to be able to change?

Re: Peak Oil
Is the answer to 'peak oil' really to inflate prices? Will we really stop using oil, which many of us cannot live without as it seems like a necessity, even if there is an extortionate price of oil? I'm not sure whether that inflating the prices of oil is really the answer but they seem to be doing...

Re: Recycling...
This is quite an old fashioned way of delivering milk/juice, i wasn't sure if it still happened but obviously it does and it is a good way of doing so. Nothing old fashiooned about it. It's still happening everywhere, in big fossil fueled vans with the evil T***o in big letters on the side, rather ...

On a practical note, if you have a milkman you can get your milk and fruit juice in glass bottles (along with oth...

We hardly ever buy anything but when we do the packing gets used again for storing things or for packing stuff to send to people. Food's rarely left over but we have chickens and dogs who are forever hopeful. I trim the veg in the garden and threw leaves and dodgy veg over the fence to the pigs. We...

Re: Recycling...
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I have a question about recycling. I was just wondering how many people actually recycle and what materials they recycle? Does anybody still not recycle? I recycle whatever my council will take away - glass, cans, tins, cardboard and some plastic and I compost organic ...
