Depends on what sort of use you want the tent for. For a lightweight tent for reasonable money which will last a couple of years serious use, then a Coleman or Vango. If you are going camping on the top of Snowdon, then a Terra Firma or a Vango Force Ten (not the canvas version, as it weighs a bit)....

Beards are natural, shaving is un natural. The last time I was clean shaven was 1979 and that was only for a couple of days until it grew back. Rumour has it I looked like a startled hamster. Trimming is done with scissors, no energy intensive device needed.

Funnily enough I have just got hold of a copy of John Naish's book, Enough (Breaking free from the world of Excess). Looks fascinating and will be my next read after finishing Nick Rosen's Off Grid Living.
