Cambridge City Council wasted several thousand pounds on a feasibility study into harnessing the water at Jesus Lock. This was after several learned people had told them the head was insufficient. Just another example of Cambridge City Council doing what its best at. Wasting large sums of money :evil:

I mainly used the water for cooking / hot drinks but also used it in the washing machine and dishwasher on occasions.

Not really cost effective against mains but a useful practice session and back up to conserve fuel.

Also a great way of sterliising water if need be.

I wonder how many CCGT can switch to run on fuel distilates (kerosene and diesel). I know Kings Lynn CCGT can but its planning consent limits it to 60 minutes per week.

Diesel prices could rocket if CCGT plant switch over to distilates.
