Chris Reference your numbers of British born migrants living in the EU vs EU migrants in the UK, yes they are quite close (the latter is circa 300k higher) However I think you didnt mention that EU migration has increased to 106k per annum (net) even prior to the Romania/Bulgaria issue. Guys helps me understand here. One of the points Russell makes is redistribution of wealth. The gap between the richest in society and the poorest is already shocking and getting wider. I understand and agree (to a point - we still have to have incentives for people to work hard and reward talent et...

Obama is now seeking a congress vote, is he quietly hoping he 'loses' the vote to avoid action? Is he thinking this is the way to lose the least amount of credibility? (Given the lack of support for military action)

Saudi Prince: Fracking Is Threat To Kingdom

http://news.sky.com/story/1121610/saudi-prince-fracking-is-threat-to-kingdom A Saudi prince has warned that his oil-reliant nation is under threat because of fracking technology being developed elsewhere around the world. Seriously????? They should see it as a blessing - it will make their oil last ...

Flipping heck, slightly shocked by the reactions on here from what I thought were well educated civilised people.

"Dancing on graves", "Glad she is dead" etc etc Really??

Shameful.

Does anyone know if Mr Miliband or Ed Balls have commited to reversing these benefits changes?

Has anyone seen them asked the question?

They are going to win by a mile in 2015

RC Having read that article - I must admit it seems churlish at the very least to deny people enough to get them through the week when it saves so very little money. Seriously, £18 a week for food, even if this would doubled and there was 5 million people (I made this number up I haven't looked up h...

It is certainly not irrelevant and I explained the 'so what' above. Earlier I had also described how my grandfather, when he was an MP, made a very real effort to try to understand the realities of the less privileged by trying out the 1946 'Starvation Diet'. There seems little evidence from within...
