????? Post peak? Did I miss something RGR? I must say, I have only skipped OVER your posts for the last 6 months or so. I guess this was a peak. Not sure you should be so sure that it is THE peak though... 8) That's a point, didn't RGR used to have a signature listing all the previous peak oils? Wh...

Huh, I recently got a second hand electro-acoustic guitar from a friend for £50, very good quality for the price and sounds sweet too. That one seems far too expensive if you have never played a guitar before imo.

My score:

Economic Left/Right: -1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.92

From last time I did this I seem to have moved up by about 4 and right about 3. Last time I did it I was in line with Gandhi but much lower towards the libertarian end of the scale.

Space Exploration

Have we missed the boat on this one? I ask because while talking to my Granddad yesterday he mentioned that we 'would be on Mars by the end of the century', I think he may have even meant living, or at least have a colony on there. I can understand why he might think that, the rate of change in tech...

Well, there are 10 confirmed cases now at the Universty of Exeter. One of my flatmates has flu like symptoms at the minute, wthether it is swine flu or not I don't know. Worrying news is that I have come down with a sore throat and fatigue in the last couple of days, seems like too much of a coincid...

When I go to clubs, I try and force myself to enjoy it but I find it very hard, knowing the whole entire "false" world could collapse within a period of months. Yeah I had that feeling for quite a while, it was always there in the back of my mind, wherever I went just thinking I was in a ...

What's your level of optimism about solutions compared to us oldies? Depends on the day doesn't it? I know industrial society can't continue in it's present form but have no idea what might follow it, be it a more localised ultimately poorer economy or the full on doom that some people seem t...

Other days I'm more hopeful that as a community we can pull through and transition to something better, then other days I will have a foreboding feeling that everything will collap...
