I agree a fast crash is less likely than slow decent. The infamous curve showing a nice bell does however, pun intended, not ring true. If we accept population growth with oil continues upward surely any measures that ease the efffects of constrained production will result in a curve more akin to a ...

There are large areas of the UK which no longer carry livestock as it is 'uneconomic'. It is however 'economic', while oil is relatively cheap, to ship meat from Brazil or Austrailia where regulations are more lax than in the UK. This will turn and I think that this ground will act as a cushion in t...

So consensus is yes as long as they are mature. Given the need to move towards increased self sufficiency I'm surprised how little discussion on this topic there is. Are people who are PO aware assuming plant seed let mature and seed gather seed and repeat. My experience, only 4/5 seasons, and not h...

It'll be an education if nothing else. No-one could answer the original question though! Are the 6.5 Hp rotavators on Ebay a...

rotavators
OK, fair comment and I would rent if the option was available but geographically not, so not an option. Now I could try and borrow but what if it breaks? and all that. Also I dont have a towbar so not that easy to move(rural area hence miles not yards/metres) Now while I do have access to manure and...

3 seeds
parsnip - easy huge return seed wise potato's - staple Rhubarb - trouble free I know 2/3 are not seeds per se but ease of cultivation and for simple food value in my view in our climate unbeatable. Parsnip from half a dozen tubers can yield 2 jars of seeds- basically a lot an awful lot of seed, stan...
