Hmmm. Where does this leave us? I could do 25 Nov or 29 December. Either of those any good for everyone?
I meant 24 Nov - the Saturday.

Are we happy for the 22 December then? If that's too close to you-know-what we could meet in Jan?

How easy is it to get to Todmorden, and if it'd hard how about Leeds? I've not been there for years.

Christmas Northern Meet up?

Anyone fancy a Christmas Peak Ale meet up? I don't particularly like the season, but it would be nice to have something to look forward to. :)

If it needs to be a weekend my only weekend off in December is 22/23. Is that too close to the bedlam? And where do people fancy meeting?

It obviously depends on the situation, but for a slow decline: Long term food supplies, gardening tools, seeds, books - just generally food growing/keeping stuff. My 2nd £1000 would go on keeping warm (insulation, heating, blankets, clothes) but the 1st would go on food - you can't live without it. ...

Re: Preparation Plan B: I appeal to the collective PS wisdom

My thoughts are that you are asking too much money for the house. Your opinion on what that property ought to be worth is out of sync with the true state of the market. You can sell any house at any time, certainly within six months, if your asking price is realistic. +1 Drop the price to meet the ...

How We Happened to Sell Off Our Electricity

Interesting article by James Meek on the privatisation of the UK electricity industry. http://www.lrb.co.uk/v34/n17/james-meek/how-we-happened-to-sell-off-our-electricity ‘There’s only one country that’s stupid enough to sell off its electricity industry, and that’s Britain.’ Defending her record in...

2pm sounds fine, we don't want to be rushing along the trail. And I've arranged for it to be sunny that day. 8)

A couple from South Ribble transition Towns say they're coming, and Boyd from Transition Bolton has already confirmed. :D
