I've said this in another thread that there will be 4 crises :-

1) Financial
2) Food
3) Oil
4) Climate

Expect "interesting" times on a more or less permanent basis from now on!

Yeah it's tough trying to save energy when you live in a cardboard house on a road with no 'sidewalk' miles from anywhere and you don't realise there's anything odd about that. But realisation is dawning in the USA that everyone does better if you can walk around... http://seattletimes.nwsource.com...

Would you retrain and if so to become what and why??? .... A position I'm in. I'm no...

Re: Recession

It seems to me as if we are on the brink of a major, global, recession. Worst and first hit will be America but Europe and China/the East will soon follow. I?m convinced this will pull down demand in the short to medium term at least such that the direct effects of depletion will be largely unseen....

No. I am actually trying to gain weight, which is proving more difficult than I thought as I only eat fish, rice, veggies, nuts, grains, fruits.

Well, at least if inflation is ahead, then we did the right thing by emptying our bank account to buy the wood and a lot of tools! Absolutely, I think your wood and tools are firmly in the ?actual necessaries? inflation proof department. However, if you go over to housepricecrash forum, you will fi...

Re: Need an opinion from ya'll

As you may or may not know, I live across the puddle. I am interested in finding out your views on americans. If I were other in europe, I would be asking myself how deep the conditioned somnolence really is if US citizens simply acquiesce to draconian social policy. Just wanna know what ya'll thin...

Yes Rabbit, Xmas is the time when all the useless, energy consuming tat comes to the surface and I get thoroughly depressed with it all. All it is an orgy of shallow consumerism, hopefully within 10 years most of it will have disappeared from the shelves. This will be one of good points of PO! Meanw...
