I think just talking about population size is missing the point. Behaviour is more important than population, the range of population being discussed is 2-10bn a factor of 5 but the range of behavioural ecological footprint is 0.5 ha/cap in Bangladesh to 10.3 ha/cap in the US a factor of over 20 (1...

I've often argued that Israel needs to go over the top to placate the surrounding countries and the Palestinians as soon as possible - i.e. now. This is a necessity whether you think they have a moral obligation to do this or not. It is also a necessity that they go further than what is considered ...

Well, this piece is written by someone staying in a town. Clearly there is downs and ups with the two. I would say also it depends on the person you are, if you are a jew for example you are better of in a town, unlike humans who genetically are more suited for the rurals.

Hopefully people will stop drink so much. Actually we need to exterminate alcohol. Life WILL NOT BECOME LESS FUN or any thing like that, if you believe that why don't you go out and buy some crack right now?!

I'm sick and tired of this

Shame on the United States of America and the peoples of other countries - we're not alone - who have put their personal, short-term whims, desires and gratifications ahead of the welfare of the rest of the planet," writes Jeremy Rifkin in The Guardian. Well he's saying that white people should...

Probably the best form of self defense is not to get in a hostile situation in the first place! On long those sort of lines you could do think like plant prickly plants around you land (like holy or blackberry bushes). Of course and that's one of the reasons I will relocate, living in one of the ci...

I have a 30-06 rifle from Finland, a trusty mauser type of rifle, so far i have got 350 rounds of full metal jacket and 40 hunting rounds. Those hunting rounds expand on impact and increases in size creating a impressive wound channel, one of those in in a vital area like the lungs, heart, spinal co...

Re: About socially disruptive types

How to handle them? You don't "handle them". Instead you kill them. This should be done in the dark as a assassination, but of course you should have a solid case against him based on objectivity, truth, reason, a consideration of group interests, and logic otherwise it's more likely that...

Of course, the solution: ?Don?t let China and the others have any oil?? I think I?ve heard this sort of idea before. The Project for a New American Century springs to mind, and it doesn?t seem to be going too well. The fact is, WE are not capable of disallowing China or the others from having any o...

What rate do you believe western economy will decrease with?

This year it will slow with 0.8 because of the oil price, predicted by the IEA (world economy) Could we multiply this with the amount of doubling times for the oil price`? Will it be 4% economy decrease rate with a price of 250? With a economy halving time of 70/4 17 years? I believe the decrease wi...

Not really possible to tell but the post would be consistent with extreme right wing stuff that I have seen before. Weather it was a troll or not isn?t too important but it does highlight an important point and one that concerns me. As time get harder due to PO (or other limits) you might find peop...

Preventing other countries from getting 'our oil' is not the solution - it would run out eventually anyway and following a business as usual tack would mean that the opportunity to invest that oil in energy-producing capital projects was forgone. It would buy time. 40,000 years ago we were all blac...
