Hopefully they will see this thread! I did mention to Aurora a while back that we would be meeting up at some stage . . .

I was actually thinking more 12 noon for a few hours than an 'evening do', but should be able to make the evening if that's what others would like to do, no problems.

12 would be fine too - I think I'd got excited at the prospect of a night on the lash.

For another time time maybe.

Do you think Aurora would bring a massive reference book and keep flicking through it & showing us information that we have to concentrate on & read through carefully?

I really imagine him with a lap top & a few massive books saying look at that, and what do you think of this article, and what are your thoughts on this - much faster than I can keep up.

Enjoy your lasagne, sounds lovely (although I'm currently past the eating stage & well into the evening wine drinking stage. Have just come off nights so enjoyinh 1 or 4 glasses of wine). :D

And you haven't thought of a venue yet.

Well, the possibilities are endless . . . we could meet up at a pub or a bar on Deansgate like the Moon Under Water or The Living Room (if we are feeling a bit more up-market) and drink until we're too drunk to continue (if we start at 12 we should be done by 3!) and then go home.

Or if an evening 'do' we could book a table at a restaurant in the name of the 'powerswitch end-of-the-world doomers party', have a meal and then go on to have a few drinks somewhere after, then on to a club (Rockworld?) or something for a laugh, or just knock it on the head after drinks.

Personally I'm up for either, but a midday-afternoon drink could still be a great booze-up session, sleep it off on the train/tram home and then we'll still have the evening for our own personal stuff.

The world is our lobster . . .

You're obviously much more hard core than me. I'd probably wake up in Blackpool later that night.

Will wait to see what you all decide. (All ????)

How will we recognise each other???

I'm not clever enough to post a photo on here. Should we wear pink carnations (or dying poppies) in our button holes?

Great idea! We can smoke them later on in the evening. It's warm enough for shorts, in any case.
