So we're in a race to the bottom, where anything goes ?
Nobody has suggested that. You have made it up.

Old fashioned, I know, but shouldn't we expect much more from our PM, in terms of setting a good example ?
The awkward point is, Boris was elected because he was a bit of a rogue. If democracy had been respected we would not have Boris as PM. The fact is we have a political and institutional class which deemed ordinary working people as a bit grubby, and probably thick and racist to boot. If our out of touch, spineless, and unremarkable politicians had their political compass pointing in the right direction, they would have sensed things brewing like;
1/ Rising inflation and stagnant wages
2/ The ladder of opportunity being taken away for the majority of people
3/ Most wealth being hoovered up by 10% of the population
4/ Mass, and I mean mass immigration, increasing competition for housing/resources whilst mercilessly pushing down wages.
5/ Allowing educational standards to fall that indigenous people could not compete with the immigrants, I could go on, but you get the gist.
And when after this political/institutional blindness, the great unwashed as you would view them, vote Brexit and when that vote is being stolen, the great unwashed vote Boris 'to get it done', you, the political class, the BBC et al, start jumping up and down screaming'
"he ate cake"
"he drank prosecco"
"he lied about the cake"
"he denied the prosecco"
It's just drivel.

Boris has spent his whole life as one big lie, and leads a corrupt government that swindles BILLIONS from the public purse.
Boris only apologises in absolute extremis, and not about the things that matter.
When are you going to realise that the British public voted for Boris as a great big metaphorical middle finger to the political establishment?

Angela Raynor has apologised for her mistake - she expressed what she and many people feel, but she shouldn't have said it.
Yes, Labour have apologised for the anti semitism under Corbyn - look it up.....
Oh i see.. Labour apologised one day and the next it was not anti semitic any more. Yeah right!
The Labour party is anti semitic to its core. Always has been always will.
And can I add cowards as well. Remember the Bradford/Rochdale/Rotherham grooming gangs. What did labour do when one of their MP's called out the stomach turning scandal?
She was made to apologise and stand down from her shadow cabinet role. Look it up and if you are a Labour supporter, hang your head in shame.
The labour party was supposed to be the working persons party, it was there to protect them, to speak up for them, to change policy for their benefit, and when the working people started speaking out about the things which made them poorer, it abandoned them, called them thick and racist. So they turned to Boris Johnson.
