Gas storage under threat as industry loses taste for salt

Plans to strengthen the security of Britain's energy supplies by building more gas storage facilities are being threatened by the collapsing demand for salt in the chemicals industry.

schemes have been held up by ... difficulties obtaining planning permission from local authorities
A Lincolnshire gas storage scheme has been objected to by the local Tory MP, Peter Tapsell.

Aliwood - ah but, if you drop a lighter it'll go out, not so a match, anyway miss fussy it was only a turn of phrase :)
BTW where are you on Teesside, my sister is in Stockton so I visit a couple of times a year, I love the area.
