Hopefully they will see this thread! I did mention to Aurora a while back that we would be meeting up at some stage . . .

I was actually thinking more 12 noon for a few hours than an 'evening do', but should be able to make the evening if that's what others would like to do, no problems.

Well it depends what kind of event we want to make it . . . I am completely open to suggestions, and will 'go with the flow'!!

Enjoy your lasagne, sounds lovely (although I'm currently past the eating stage & well into the evening wine drinking stage. Have just come off nights so enjoyinh 1 or 4 glasses of wine).

Well, the possibilities are endless . . . we could meet up at a pub or a bar on Deansgate like the Moon Under Water or The Living Room (if we are feeling a bit more up-market) and drink until we're too drunk to continue (if we start at 12 we should be done by 3!) and then go home.

Or if an evening 'do' we could book a table at a restaurant in the name of the 'powerswitch end-of-the-world doomers party', have a meal and then go on to have a few drinks somewhere after, then on to a club (Rockworld?) or something for a laugh, or just knock it on the head after drinks.

Personally I'm up for either, but a midday-afternoon drink could still be a great booze-up session, sleep it off on the train/tram home and then we'll still have the evening for our own personal stuff.
