It is irrelevant worldwide. I compared it to Blair and Iraq because in both cases it was a career-ending mistake which the respective person thought he could just get away with. Both cases also involved lying to parliament.

The tories aren't going to unseat a Prime Minister just as a major European war breaks out. If he's still in position in May then the tories are going to get smashed to pieces at the local elections in May, and then they will get rid of him. I'd very much like to be proved wrong on this, because the longer he stays in the job the worse the tories are likely to do at the next general election.

IMHO, when anyone turns to abuse, they have no argument, therefore, by necessary implication, they have accepted your opinion but are highly irritated that they proffered such a weak comment/argument.
