In Europe, an armed terrorist in a train killed no one, when confronted by folks forged in a non-sheeple environment. Just saying.
In the US, 19 men armed with little knives brought your country to it's knees. Just saying.
If by "brought to it's knees" is "took over multiple foreign countries while knocking off untold thousands of wrong doers and putting down against their will the people who attacked us", then sure. We did something that no one else in the world was capable of to get the bastards responsible. And then some.
We also learned, IN REAL TIME that day, that run of the mill non-sheeple citizens, don't sit around waiting for it to happen to you. Only in America could that have happened so quickly, as this event in the UK just demonstrated.

As for the cannabis, I didn't say that this was the only reason.
But it was the only one apparently important enough to be mentioned.
The other reasons have been discussed many times, in many places, including here....
I wasn't saying that it was the ONLY factor, or the MAIN factor, just A FACTOR that seemed to be common among the perpetrators and maybe worth a mention...
And that's just in 1 US city...., every day, every weekend....
What happened in Reading was terrible, but this puts it in some context...
All those people dying just so a man can feel like a true man as he fondles his weapon!
I am really pleased to live in a country where I can walk around without the need to carry a gun to protect myself. And that is after the Reading incident which happened in the next town to us on the way into London, a place where we often go to the theatre or a concert. It certainly won't bother me to go there as soon as the theatres open as the killings there were such an unlikely thing to happen.
So, Colorado has about 200 murders a year with a population of just over 5.7 million while the UK with a population of over ten times that at c 64million has a murder rate of 671. And you consider that good, RGR? Some respect!!

"Holy" jihad??? Two words which should never be seen together!
I know that many Muslims see holy jihad only as a vigorous, peaceful promotion of their religion but that has been usurped, or some would say bought back to the original definition, by the violent tendency in the religion. In view of that I don't think that we should promote the concept in this forum.

Well, this is supposedly a peak oil forum, and no one wants anything to do with discussing that. The pandemic at least revealed that this is a doomer forum, so why not change its name and then it won't look so weird, all the conversations being about anything except the original rapture trigger that failed?
If there's no oil talk, and you don't like all the "doom", why are you still here ?

Agree, and I have edited my post to reflect this.
"Installers and owners of emergency diesels must assume that they will have to run for a week or more"
Several vehicles "deliberately rammed" on motorway in Berlin area.
Local police believe it to be Islamic terrorism.
The suspect stated that he had "a dangerous object" but nothing was found.
