Why not ?
Those people snaring/eating bushmeat may not have any other options for meat ?
Unlike in the West, where snaring the odd rabbit is more of a 'hobby' ?

Some snaring is for food.....
Some snaring is for pest control....
Some snaring is for pelts or other purposes....
It's all cruel and there's no guarantee what you're going to catch...

I eat meat, so I'm part of the problem too.
There are just too many people on the planet and we consume too much resource.
Unfortunately we won't be happy as a species until every natural thing is either caught, shot, cooked, poisoned, chopped down, mined, drilled or otherwise exploited.
Sadly it's inevitable - it's the human condition - in the end we'll just be left with a mountain of plastic, a pile of nuclear waste and some rats and cockroaches for company...

Even the tofu will be gone :D
