End of reduced duty on biodiesel ?

Post by adam2 »

I have heard, but can not substantiate, that biodiesel and bioethanol motor vehicle fuels are to become subject to the same/very similar excise duties as are imposed on similar fuels obtained from crude oil.

Can anyone confirm or deny, or supply more details ?

Bio fuels from food are not sustainable and so should be taxed as fossil fuels are but bio fuels from waste should be taxed at a lower rate.
