Reclaim the Sheets : Help Save the Future from Bad News

Protest marches, barricades and police charges. They sound so 20th
century. What future for the voice of the people ? Oblivion in online
discussion forums ?

Reclaim The Sheets stands for evolution. Environmentalism's not just
about fluffy animals, it's about humanity's survival. We need to adapt
quickly, and the challenges we face demand radical changes. In energy,
economics and society, it's sustainability or bust. And if the climate
turns to chaos then we're all in mortal danger.

We want to save the future from bad news. We're not dogmatic whingers
who don't wash. We're positive, peaceful researchers, writers and
designers. We've worked on national campaigns, and turned people on to
changing policy. Our goal is to wake up the world with communications,
and for the evidence to shatter cherished illusions.

We have a mission this Spring that fuses media with democratic action.
It will be bigger than Independence Day, but we can't tell you what it
is yet (or we'd have to put you in a secret prison).

What we can say is that we need financial backing. And we need to get
more people onto the streets. They won't be waving placards, but one
fine day will see a change of mood, and not just lightbulbs.

So, if you, or anyone you know, can spare some cash (whether it's a
fiver or a grand), and you want to support a mass moment of humour and
awakening, please get in touch with us on :-

Sorry, absolutely no idea what you're talking about :). Are you connected to the person who put up that strange air rifle post?

I will send you some money but I'm not going to tell you how much, when or how I'm going to send it.

In the meantime, don't hold your breath.

Thank you...I think

Air rifle ? Don't know what you're talking about, so it can't have been me. I'm a pacifist.

Thank you...I think...actually, no, I don't think you're offering anything, so no thanks are in order...

But then again, if you really are offering some real cash, don't bother unless you get it over to the project by mid-March (or so). We won't need it after (about) then.

It's a one-off.

STOP PRESS: News from the future‏

This week, we’re printing a special publication, urging journalists
and big business to put people first. With 2020 hindsight, we’ll show
how action today made the future possible.

Without radical change, the world will soon be a hostile environment,
unleashing weather of mass destruction on our Age of Stupid. So what’s
stopping us? In simple terms: the economy, stupid.

If we accepted limits to growth, and invested billions in a Green New
Deal instead of bank bailouts, we might cut emissions as fast we need
to. Carbon rationing would help, but we’ll have to demand it. And for
that, we need to hear about the benefits.

Journalists frame public debate, and the City frames public policy.
We’re pressing them to reframe their thinking, and prove they’re Not

Come and join us! And bring your friends…

We need your help to hand out our materials – as much as you can carry
(in a big rucksack, holdall or cart). We’ll explain what to do, and
you can come back as often as you like for refills.

Friday, 27 March, between 0630 and 1230. Whether you can spare a few
minutes or the whole morning, you’ll make a difference.

Waterloo. Collect materials near the station (we’ll say exactly where
on Thursday), then travel to convenient distribution points.

If you’d like to help, please tell us today, so we have an idea of

If not now, when?
