Do we have a thread for the US Border crisis yet?
I think this is an issue that will come to consume more than a little of North America’s attention and possibly some internal conflict in the near future.
I expect that most of you are already aware of much of the background and immediate history of this situation but popular disgust with the de facto open border policy seems to be coming to a potentially explosive head:
“The Take Back Our Border convoy reached the Texas-Mexico border on Friday night to show support for the Texas government in its ongoing standoff with radicals in the Biden administration over disastrous open southern border policies that have triggered the worst migrant invasion this nation has ever seen.”

There’s some potential for serious State vs Federal confrontation here already:
“Tense Border Standoff Between Texas Guard and Federal Government Is Reaching a Crescendo“

Maybe this should just go in the general immigration thread - but I think that the US immigration issue is building fast
