Which ports? Why?

Why would they do that?

What do you mean? Block port 25?

This is the most serious risk. There are already projects working to solve this http://torrentfreak.com/bittorrent-base ... es-101130/

Limiting bandwidth certainly on the agenda of ISPs, but that's on commercial grounds (drip-feeding torrents to make the account holders go away and bother some other ISP).

(On the other hand bit torrent clients probably manage bandwidth better than many other apps (?) that can just swamp bandwidth, such as games and streaming... 'cos managing downloads/uploads is what they do)

Look at Assange. The tactic is not to associate his name with Wikileaks, it's telling everyone he's an alleged rapist.
He's not been charged with rape to smear him - it's simply a convenient way to get him extradited. Rape rarely has witnesses, so the accusations have to be taken at face value. Once he's in Sweden, the rape charges may well be dropped, but the Swedes will then hand him over to the US.

I'm not sure he's been charged with anything yet.
Assange is not yet formally charged by the Swedish authorities, but wanted for questioning after complaints by two women claiming they were forced to have unprotected sex with him during brief affairs last August. It’s Sweden’s second attempt to pursue sex crimes accusations: the first was dismissed by a senior prosecutor.

Anyone else tried to use DODGY TAX AVOIDERS this evening and not been able to access it?

Reckon the hackers have been at it, or else it's down coz of volume of traffic?

Just tried again and it is back on.

No, sorry, you're right; my bad, but I think my point still stands.

Latest Wikileaks releases show that BP had another blowout, this time in Azerbijan
Company policy appears to be hush everything up in action (or is that inaction??) again:
The cables reveal that some of BP's partners in the gas field were upset that the company was so secretive about the incident that it even allegedly withheld information from them. They also say that BP was lucky that it was able to evacuate its 212 workers safely after the incident, which resulted in two fields being shut and output being cut by at least 500,000 barrels a day with production disrupted for months.
Also,BP accused of stealing Azeri oil

Chevron working on developing Iran-Iraq cross border oilfield

Nothing much on Peak Oil though :?
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools - Douglas Adams.
