The recent leakings by a apparent leading White House insider on the internet have proved very interesting.

It seems like Obama has struggled to get used to governing the country.
I’ll give you an example of why President Obama is not right for America. He sure as hell has not been right for the party. Not long ago, the president took a meeting. He’s late, which apparently is becoming more and more common with him. The meeting was almost cancelled. In strolls the president, joking with an aide. He plops down on a sofa, leans over and claps another guy on the back asking how he’s been. Apologizes for being late, says he was “held up”. He laughs some more. The meeting begins. After just ten minutes, during which time the president appears to almost totally withdraw into himself, an aide walks in and whispers something to the president, who then nods and quickly stands up, shakes a few hands and tells another aide to update him later on the rest of the meeting. As the president is walking out he is laughing at something yet again. He asked no questions of those at the meeting – not one. He left after just ten minutes, coming in laughing and leaving laughing. His behavior during that brief time he was there was described as “borderline manic”.
The latter meeting was regarding Afghanistan. if true very disturbing.

Regarding the rumours of a major scandal involving the Obama inner circle, this hints at it.

Obama’s name has come up as jurors listen to testimony and taped conversations that prosecutors say show former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was trying to profit from his power to appoint a senator.
I wouldn't be surprised if this story goes alot deeper into the murky world of Chicago politics...

If I was Obama, and came from the high of being elected the first non-white POTUS, it would take me some time to accumulate information previously not in my background as a legal professional / politician, and inwardly digest it at the rate of reasonably intelligent person, between all the other distractions and contradictions of the day job.

I think, after about two years, it would begin to sink in that I was at the helm of the most powerful military and economic empire the world has ever seen, just as it was about to hit the buffers so fundamentally that the collapse of the Roman empire would be a mere blip in comparison.

I would find it hard to take meetings about God forsaken military outposts seriously sometimes.

Fifth-hand, anonymous, unattributed hearsay? Come on. Here's a thought - perhaps the Republicans are trying to smear him?

Mind you, you have to be mad to think you can run America as president. You really need to be a lot higher.

And yes, such a job would send you round the bend. Best to be there first (hint, hint).

I use to read similar stuff under Bush (reports of him having screaming rants, returning to the bottle and even rumours of gay affairs!)... so although I am bit sceptical about this, he does seem to be a bit down at the moment if you watch his public appearances.

Who knows... a depressed, even borderline manic Obama is preferable to the nutjobs in the Republican party

Churchill suffered from depression and was also an alcoholic, but that didn't stop him from doing what had to be done as a leader in a crisis.

There were lots of rumours about Harold Wilson's mental health; he kept claiming he was being bugged and that there were assorted plots against him. (Though after the BBC's 'The Plot Against Harold Wilson' who knows what the real story is!) There were rumours about George Brown (Deputy Labour leader) being frequently 'Tired and Emotional'. There were assorted rumours about Mrs Blair and her lifestyle guru (Carole Caplin) – hot scrubs etc. Plus assorted claims about Gordon Brown's state of mind/behaviour.

Some of it may be true but a lot of it seems irrelevant or tittle-tattle from people with a vested interest to do them down.

It has to be said.

Anybody who reaches the top of the tree and then finds out about the national debt (most are clueless beforhand) amd about money as debt, PO, etc. is going to be seriously depressed.

I'm sure you all agree, no matter what strong stuff you are made of this is going to be a right bugger.

I would seriously like to see how Sarah Palin would deal...then again no... she would just probably go even more gung-ho on the world.

I doubt the likes of Sarah Palin and George Bush, Jnr have the necessary reflective qualities to get depressed. They are just selfish children with a bowl of ice cream and a rattle.

What are you using for video editing?

syberg...it was not video edited as such....just one of those little free programmes that runs a slideshow, I forget which one.

For future projects I would like to edit properly in final cut pro or the like, so that I can place on the beats and have some nice transitions.

Cheers for the feedback :)
